When making his photographs Alan primarily uses a 1970s era Nikon F2 with a waist level viewfinder. His lenses are a Nikkor 20mm, 24mm and 50mm.

For maximum image quality and depth, Alan chose to have his images printed using traditional photographic technology. Each print was individually hand-crafted by master printer Trevor Martin on fibre-based photographic paper and then selenium toned. While this process adds significantly to the cost, it is regarded as the ultimate standard for archival, exhibition quality prints. The fibre paper provides a visual depth not found in other types of paper or with ink jet prints. The selenium toning enhances the lifetime of the print and strengthens the blacks.

The edition run of each print is limited to 3 per image.

Prints are valued at $695.00 (unframed).
